DESCRIPTION:The 2024 Great Northern Art Explosion\, presented by AuSable Artisan Village\, is an international art exhibition featuring $8\,000 in awards. The show will take place at the AuSable Artisan Village Performing Arts Center in downtown Grayling from August 24th to September 8th\, 2024\, from 10:00am to 5:00pm daily. Admission is free\, but donations are appreciated. Cast your vote for the best art pieces with People’s Choice Voting! \n  \nJuror Awards \nJim& Connie Sutika Best Of Show $2\,500\nPaddle Hard Award Of Excellence $1\,000\nKirtland Community College Outstanding Achievement $500 \n  \nPeople’s Choice Awards\nJim& Connie Sutika Best Of Show $2\,500\nPaddle Hard Award Of Excellence $1\,000\nKirtland Community College Outstanding Achievement $500 \nNo artwork will receive more than one award. If a piece of artwork is initially selected for more than one award\, it will be granted the highest dollar award and the remaining award(s) will be reassigned. \nThis year’s juror is Amy Vos Dillinger:\nAmy Vos Dillinger is an artist and scholar \nbased in West Michigan. She holds a bache-\nlor’s degree in Art History and is presently \ncompleting her Master of Arts degree this\nyear at Kendall College of Art and Design of\nFerris State University (KCAD) in Visual and\nCritical Studies\, where she currently works\nas an Undergraduate Admissions Counselor.\nIn this position\, she has had the opportunity\nto connect and engage with thousands of \ncreatives of all ages and their art and cham-\npion their talents and passions every day. \nHer other professional experiences have\nspanned several industries including fine\nart\, technology\, and footwear and apparel\,\nfocusing on the intersection of each with the\nvisual space. \n  \nExhibition Show Dates: August 24th- September 8th. 2024. \nClosing Award Ceremony September 8th\, 2024 (2:00pm)
